Japan is called the 'Land of the Rising Sun,' and this country is famous worldwide for its unique culture, high technology, and highly disciplined lifestyle. Some of its excellent aspects are as follows:

1. Unique Culture and 'Omotenashi'

In Japan, a wonderful blend of tradition and modernity is found. The history of old shrines (Jinja), the art of Geisha, and the Samurai is balanced by its high-tech cities and robotics.

  • Omotenashi: This is the spirit of Japanese hospitality, which means serving and respecting the guest or customer wholeheartedly, without expecting anything in return. The politeness and courtesy of the Japanese people are its main features.
  • Etiquette: People treat each other with great respect and deference. The custom of bowing is deeply rooted.

2. Safety and Cleanliness

Japan is among the safest countries in the world. The crime rate is extremely low.

Japan's public transport system, especially the rail network, is considered the most reliable and efficient in the world.

  • Shinkansen (Bullet Train): These high-speed trains are an excellent example of technology and punctuality. These trains may be delayed by only a few seconds from their scheduled time.
  • Easy Travel: Travel in big cities like Tokyo and Osaka is easy. Trains usually arrive at 1-minute intervals.

4. World-Class Cuisine (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage)

Japanese food (Washoku) is delicious, healthy, and artistic. UNESCO has listed it as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.

  • Diversity: Foods like Sushi, Sashimi, Ramen, Okonomiyaki, and Tempura are popular worldwide.
  • Presentation: Japanese people pay great attention to both the taste and the presentation (plating) of the food.

5. Natural Beauty and Greenery

The beauty of different seasons can be seen throughout the year in Japan.

  • Sakura (Cherry Blossoms): Cherry blossoms (Sakura) blooming in spring are the identity of Japan. People come from all over the world to see the view when the flowers bloom.
  • Mount Fuji: Japan's tallest and holiest mountain, Mount Fuji, is the symbol of its natural beauty.
